Wake up call

Monday morning, I'm snoozing away, wrapped warmly in my down comforter. Or as we call it in my family, a"dune"...dont ask.
Anyway, as I was dreaming away, in my dream I heard a loud horn. It was very repetative. I'm not sure exactly what I was dreaming about, but I just remember the horn was so out of place.
The horn kept getting louder and louder, until it became a total annoyence.
Then I wake up and realize, this wasn't a dream, this was real life. The horn in my dream had actually turned out to be my smoke alarm.
Scary? Yes!
I jumped out of bed and ran upstairs to find the rest of my family standing in the living room covering their ears. There was no fire, no smoke and no reason for the smoke alarms to have gone off.
Every alarm in the house was going off, not all at the same time, so we could get a break every 3 seconds. Oh no, they were scattered about in a way that there was never silence.
We tried taking the batteries out of the deterctors...that didnt help.
We tried re-setting them...that didnt help.
Eventually, my brother decided to shut off the power to the entire house.
That was the solution.
Weird? Yes!

HAHAHAHAHA! That SUCKS!

Smoke alarms are attached to the electricity in the house. The batteries are just a back-up in case your power goes out. Hahaha. So it must have been something that was wired to all of them.

How funny. That's the second time I've heard that story this week.
