So I had my tendon release surgery on my left foot last Monday.
I went in and talked to the nurses and anesthesiologist and Dr and it was great.
I'm pretty sure after the Anesthesiologist started to sedate me I decided to tell staff about my plans to travel to Africa.
And as I remember...They all laughed.
Anyway, The surgery went well, only took about 30 minutes from the first incision.
My Dr said that my tendon was extremely tight
So it was a good thing I had the surgery when I did.
Next thing I know, I'm being wheeled back into the recovery room.

The nurse like automatically asked me if I wanted crackers or cookies....
Duh...Cookies
And they had me drink apple juice to make sure I could keep stuff down after having anesthesia
I apparently kept telling my mom how cool it was that the Anesthesiologist numbed my arm
before putting in the IV...
"Hey Mom, the Dr numbed my wrist before putting in the IV!"
"Mom, did you know that the anesthesiologist numbed my skin before putting in my IV?"
"Guess what mom! The Dr numbed my arm before putting in my IV!"
"Yes Marissa, you did tell me that the anesthesiologist numbed your arm before putting in your IV."
The day after surgery my mom and I went out and shopped for stuff to decorate my boot
Yes, I went out the day after surgery, shopping.
My mom may have caught me texting and driving at Walmart...OOPS!

But now my boot looks super cute!
See for yourself!
(Thanksgiving decor )

Anyway, Here is the picture of my foot about a week after surgery:

Well I'm off crutches and just wearing the dumb boot for the next 3 weeks.
Another surgery is scheduled for 2 days after christmas..yes, 2 days after Christmas.

And honey, people laugh about you going to Africa when you aren't sedated. I don't think the animals will appreciate your Zebra print bags =)
