Feet Update

Don't look at the picture if you have a weak stomach..I guess...
So Yesterday I went back to IF for an appointment with my podiatrist.
We talked about the things we've tried in the past which included:
Physical Therapy
Cortisone shots
anti-inflammatory medications
Feet wraps
shoe inserts
Moon boots(boots that keep my feet at a 90 degree angle while sleeping)
and now this is our next step:
This is another technique of cortisone shots.
The technique is called "Needling"
First the Dr used a local anesthetic to numb both my heels.
He injected the anesthetic into the side of both heels....this stung so bad!
After that, he got the shot of cortisone and injected it to the bottom of my foot.
It wasn't just one injection...oh no.
It was about 10 injections into the ligament of the heel.
This was done in Both feet.
Holy crap.
Not fun at all.

The Dr said there is only a 25% success rate with this
If this isn't successful, surgery is the next option.
Surgery will take place on one foot the beginning of November.
Then if all goes well, The next surgery will be the end of December.

What?? Why??? What's wrong with your pretty little feet? Did you destroy them with your 6 inch heals?

I have Plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendonitis in both feet. It's not from wearing high heels....but high heels are the only shoes I can wear that make my feet not hurt. Ironic,I think.
